Qualifications
To qualify for inclusion in the National Honor Roll program,
- Students must be in high school or middle school.
- They must have a GPA of B or better.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities is a plus.
We review information from various sources on students' academic performance and selected students are then contacted and asked to fill out a Student Profile form. Upon review of the Student Profile, we include students that meet our qualifications. Students who do not meet the criteria are not included. Student applications submitted without providing a student's grade point average (GPA) will not be considered for publication.
Upon acceptance, the student's biography is included in the commemorative publication and the student receives information about National Honor Roll's ancillary services.
Under no circumstances can a student be nominated by another student, their parent, a relative, or themselves.
Sometimes students are invited to accept this award based on work they did prior to the selection process and we find they are no longer eligible for inclusion when they return their completed Student Profile to us. If a student no longer qualifies, his/her Student Profile is rejected for publication. If he/she has already paid for a Commemorative Edition, the money is returned in full.
National Honor Roll will not diminish the honor of being published in the Commemorative Edition for outstanding students who do qualify by including unqualified students.
